You can buy vegan pizza sauce, but this recipe is so easy to put together that I always make my own! Other than the roasting time, it only takes a few minutes to make and I prepare it while my pizza crust is rising. Here are the ingredients you need to make this delicious sauce:
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Drain the diced tomatoes over a bowl:
Reserve six tablespoons of the juice. (I freeze the rest and add it to chili or pasta sauce later.)
Mash up the roasted garlic cloves:
Add the drained tomatoes, Magical Seasoning Blend, dried basil, Italian seasoning, vegan sugar, mashed roasted garlic, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil to a medium-sized mixing bowl:
Mix to combine:
Spread the mixture out onto a parchment-lined half-sheet pan:
Bake for 40 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit:
Scoop the roasted mixture into the bowl of your food processor and add two tablespoons of the reserved tomato juice:
Blend until the sauce is the consistency that you like. You can add more juice if you like your sauce to be thinner than this:
Spread the sauce on your prepared pizza crust and add whatever toppings you like:
I added vegan mozzarella, green pepper, onion, mushrooms, and my vegan Italian sausage!
Bake your pizza and enjoy!
